Ebony Interviews “Ibeji” writer Melody Cooper

June 25, 2021

Melody Cooper is a writer on Two Sentence Horror Stories, and wrote the episode “Ibeji” in season 2. Ebony interviewed Melody about her episode and the themes around medical negligence, especially towards Black women.

“Very often, our voices aren’t heard,” says Cooper. “That, for me, also spoke to how we feel paralyzed by our anger, by our fear, by everything that’s happening to us and has happened to us in history. From George Floyd to Breonna Taylor, all of it can paralyze us.”
