Verizon’s go90 Expands Horror Channel With Stage 13’s Sundance Film Festival Debut “Snatchers”

August 9, 2017

Verizon’s go90 has slowed on its content acquisition, according to sources, as it works to surgically build out its genre/demo-specific channels. Today the company announced it has picked up a new scripted series from Warner Brothers Digital Networks brand Stage 13 for its horror-sci-fi channel.

“Snatchers” is Stage 13’s first scripted project — a horror comedy about a status-obsessed teen and an unexpected pregnacy following an alien “encounter.”

“The horror genre continues to surge in popularity with stories and themes that are smart, relevant and in touch with their audience and that’s what you get with ‘Snatchers,’” said Ivana Kirkbride, Chief Content Officer for go90. “This go90 exclusive series, from digital-first content brand Stage 13, a division of Warner Bros. Digital Networks, promises to connect with our horror enthusiasts.”
