Freddy Chavez Olmos

"Homecoming"

Freddy Chavez Olmos is Mexican-Canadian, currently living in Vancouver. Born in Puebla, Mexico, graduated in Special Effects Makeup in LA and mentored by the legendary Dick Smith (The Exorcist, The Godfather). He’s participated in productions directed by Guillermo del Toro, Neill Blomkamp, Robert Rodriguez, Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan. His short films have been selected in multiple international film festivals. His first short, Shhh, won several international awards, and Guillermo del Toro himself praised the film for having strong visuals. More recently, Freddy completed his latest horror short film Duérmete Niño, produced by Victoria Burkhart (Chappie, Elysium) in collaboration with Creative BC and Bell Media in Canada.
