Hugo is a reformed gang member who found religion during an eight-year stretch in prison. Now that he’s out, he’s rolling with Chelo and Pat again, the homies he had before the gang life. Hugo thinks what happened to Chelo is a sign from God, and urges him to do good. But when your miraculous friend is drunk and high off his ass, that’s easier said than done.
